A NEW business has opened its doors in Salisbury.

Money and Millie, which is in the market square, has been started by Amy Money and Leesa who have joined forces.

Amy and Leesa have known each other for 20 years and say it has always been their dream to collaborate and have their own fashion house offering designer bespoke millinery and ladies fashion.

The pair said: "Money and Millie is especially important to Salisbury as it proves that local talent is still very much alive."

Amy and Leesa met while studying fashion and textiles at Salisbury College and say the new business venture "proves that local people can start small businesses and succeed in Salisbury".

"Salisbury doesn't have anything like this. Our ladies love not having to go all the way to London to have the same exclusive designer experience," they added.

Amy has had her business in Salisbury for 12 years designing and making her own bespoke designer hats and fascinators including royal appointment as well as her bespoke designs her work is also available to hire.

And Leesa has had her studio in Landlord for 16 years and offers designer exclusive bridal gowns as well as making and designing her own couture designer outfits.

Amy and Leesa said: "We have both always wanted to collaborate in one large premises as we do a lot or work with the same customers already.

"We saw great potential in this large period property as we have huge amounts of space to expand both of our businesses.

"Since we moved to this central location we have never been so busy. The response has been overwhelming.

"Our hopes for the future are to develop our collections of Millinery and outfits to match and expand our customer profile abroad."

Money and Millie held an official opening ceremony on Friday, October 27.
