A WOMAN from Salisbury raised nearly £1000 for charity after shaving her head.
Claire Snook, who works at The Old Orchard Surgery in Wilton, raised the money for Macmillan after being inspired by colleagues.
She says she is "not a brave person by nature, and tends to shy away from anything scary", was inspired by friends who have recently abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, or completed pier to pier swims in freezing water.
She saw the 'Brave the Shave' advert and thought "I can do that".
Claire adds: "I work in an amazing GP surgery and see many people who are affected by cancer.
"Hopefully my small act will help Macmillan to support them when they need it most. I have raised £800 plus so far and money still coming in."
