PART of Salisbury's dual carriageway was closed last night after a three-car crash.

Police were called to the A36 (Churchill Way West) between St Mark's roundabout and the Castle Roundabout at about 5.20pm.

Two Volkswagen Polos and a Peugeot 208 were involved.

A road closure was put in place because it was initially believed a woman would have to be cut from her car by the fire service.

She also required treatment by the ambulance service.

The roads were cleared by 7.45pm.
