SALISBURY MP John Glen discussed the Autumn Budget at an annual breakfast on Friday.

Chartered Accountants Moore Stephens host the Budget Breakfast each year, where Mr Glen, also the Economic Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister, gives local business people an insight what the changes mean at a local level.

More than 75 local businesses attended the event to hear him provide a complete overview of the major fiscal, taxation and investment measures contained in the 2018 budget, whilst also providing a local spin on how they affect businesses in the Salisbury and South Wiltshire area.

Andrew Coldwell, managing partner, Moore Stephens South said: “The presentation from John gave a good insight into the macroeconomic background which then led to an excellent vision into local infrastructure and development.

“The event gave the local business community an opportunity to discuss matters openly with their local MP.

“We are very grateful to John for taking the time to present a thoroughly informative and interesting session”.

Mr Glen added: “The Budget Breakfast has become a highlight of my annual calendar, and it was a privilege to address local business leaders this year as both the local MP and Treasury minister.

“My thanks go to Moore Stephens for an excellently organised event and I look forward to many more to come.”
