A NEW hashtag can be used today to unite the people of Salisbury during Remembrance services.
The Diocese of Salisbury has launched the hashtag, #diosalarmistice to not only remember those who sacrificed their lives during the First World War, but to commemorate 100 years since the end of the conflict.
The hashtag will have the power to bring social media posts together in one online space, showing the different tribute events that are taking place throughout the city, all with the same messages of gratitude.
The Reverend Carole Peters-King said: "Using the hashtag #diosalarmistice we want everyone to please post pictures and tweets of their Remembrance Day services and events as they are happening to personal or church websites, Facebook pages and Twitter accounts, and by the magic of the internet we can create a Diocese of Salisbury web page populated with links to your pictures, your events, [and] to our commemorations of this historic day."
