Delays of more than an hour caused by traffic light problem
DRIVERS are experiencing delays of an hour on Southampton Road and around the city today after a fault with some traffic lights.
Highways England is wanring drivers to allow extra time for journeys today, and say engineers have been organised to fix the faulty lights.
It said people were experiencing delays on the A36 northbound, between the A27 and A338, but drivers are reporting gridlock in both directions around the city's dual carriageway as a result.
One driver told the Journal it took an hour and a half to get from Tesco on Southampton Road to Whiteparish this morning.
