LOCAL people and visitors to Salisbury are being asked for their views on the future delivery of public toilet facilities in the city.

The city council is undertaking a public consultation from now until December 12, about charging for toilet use and which toilets people use in the city.

The results of the consultation will be reported back at a services committee meeting in December this year.

The council currently provides a total of 11 public toilet facilities at a cost of £210,000 per year.

Sven Hocking, chairman of the services committee said: "We would like feedback on the current state of our toilets and what users expect from us.

"We know that many of our facilities are used by both residents and visitors to our area and it is important to us to provide clean and modern facilities where they are needed."
