I WAS astonished to see a huge advert promoting Winchester as a Christmas shopping destination on the main approach to Tesco's Southampton Road Store and filling station!
With all that Salisbury has been through this year surely we should be able to expect a major retailer to support the city during the festive season, which is so important to business.
I am sure Tesco will benefit from the £3m support fund and other promotional work being done by the city and county councils. As such, this is almost an act of betrayal!
I feel I cannot do any further shopping with Tesco in light of their apparent indifference and lack of support to the city by hosting such a huge and prominent advert until it is changed!
I hope others will hold Tesco to account! Loyalty works both ways.
