SALISBURY-based consultant surgeons Harshad Dabke and Jayanth Kunjur have raised more than £4,500 for the Stars Appeal’s MRI Scanner Campaign after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in September.

Mr Dabke said: “I am very pleased to inform you that on September 27, after a trek of 5 days, Mr Kunjur and I were successful in reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

“The climb is 5,875 metres above sea level, despite inclement weather (it was snowing constantly and average temperature was -17 degrees Celsius with wind speed of 30 kilometres per hour).”

Donations are still being accepted until the end of the year, and those who wish to donate can still do so online at either justgiving.com/fundraising/harshaddabke or justgiving.com/fundraising/jayanth-kunjur.

All donations will go straight to the charity as all expenses for the trip were paid upfront.
