I AM writing to ask for some help. My late grandfather passed away early this year. He was a planning officer for Salisbury Council in the 1960s, 1970s and I think 1980s. When handed his old paperwork to get rid of, I came along roughly 70 plus hand-drawn building plans for various buildings in Hale, Woodfalls, Redlynch, Downton, parts of Salisbury. There is also hand-drawn plans and maps of the national grid power lines in the Salisbury district and New Forest.
I currently live in Southampton and work in Basingstoke so I am out of touch with Salisbury. It seemed a waste and shame to destroy such history of the local area. I wonder if there is someone out there who may like them? I just thought it would be nice for someone to have history of the local houses in Salisbury.
