TOURISM loss.
In reply to Peter Bryant's letter last week, on the danger of disembarking passengers into the traffic of Exeter Street [and] the ridiculous idea of shoving mostly elderly tourists nearly a mile away and expecting them to walk back and forth to visit the cathedral.
They simply won't come here, when other cathedrals have much easier access.
Wouldn't the simple solution be to make a new entrance through the Close wall from Exeter Street roundabout, to access space to park these coaches?
After all, the cathedral authorities are the ones taking the tourists' money.
