Woman who died after tree and electrical cables fell on car named
THE woman who died after a tree and electrical cables fell onto a car in high winds has been named.
Margaret Ann Cryer, who was known as Ann, was 75-years-old and from Shaftesbury.
The incident happened on the A30 at Compton Chamberlayne shortly after 9.30am on Thursday, November 29 and police say it is believed a large tree fell into the road and onto the Ford Fiesta.
The driver, a 74-year-old woman also from Dorset, suffered serious injuries to her leg, and was taken to hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101 and quote log number 103 of 29/11/18.
