CELEBRATE Voice is back with a double bill of Christmas concerts in Salisbury.

The two performances of Christmas Nights at the Opera at the Medieval Hall on Thursday, December 13 and Friday 14, feature lead opera singers from past productions, including this year’s Don Giovanni (Phillip Smith) and festival director Lynsey Docherty.

The show will present opera’s greatest hits, as well as fun-fuelled music theatre and cabaret numbers, plus Christmas anthems for the whole audience to sing along.

The performance also embraces the festival’s inclusive ethos, with a community choir and a youth choir comprising past members of the celebrated children’s chorus.

Festival director Lynsey Docherty said: "In 2014 we launched Celebrate Voice with a Christmas event at the Medieval Hall which sold out. So, five years later, and off the back of a sell-out festival, we are looking to raise funds for our 2019 celebrations by staging another of our fabulous festive concerts.

"The audience can expect sublime operatic melodies, but also a lot of fun and the opportunity to take part."

Tickets are priced at £25 and available from celebratevoice.co.uk or by calling 01722 320333 or in person from Salisbury Playhouse.
