What a disappointment the Christmas market is this year.
The decision to take up most of the already cramped area with an ice rink was I think misguided.
We were left with a half hearted market with virtually no festive food and drink on offer.
The German bratwurst stall was poorly prepared causing long queues, being the only real hot food stand they should have had more food ready.
We are so hampered by not using a large market square or the cathedral areas, it all has to be crammed onto the Guildhall frontage?
I suspect the high cost of rent for a hut space doesn't encourage traders.
Its all a big shame when you look at Bath and Winchester.
