A FAMILY were left scratched and bruised following a New Year's Day "aggressive" assault.

On Tuesday, January 1, at around 2.20am, a family of three witnessed three people causing damage to a parked Ford Fiesta in Woodside Road, Salisbury.

After challenging the group on their behaviour, they became aggressive towards the family, causing injuries including swelling, scratches and bruises.

The first suspect is described as female, blonde and wearing a white long sleeved dress, and is believed to be in her teens.

The second suspect is also described as female and aged in her teens but with brown hair, and the third suspect was male but with no further description.

The family affected included a woman aged 47 years old, and two men, aged 48 and 24.
