On January 5, we visited your lovely city in order to be taken to the pantomime and catch up with two of our grown up children. We stayed at The White Hart Hotel which was, as usual, very welcoming along with the usual high standard of food.
On the Saturday, before meeting the family, we ate at Zizzi restaurant. We had a lovely meal, the staff were very quick to serve us and they were very busy – it was so good to witness this after all their trials and tribulations. We then joined our family at the Playhouse for the pantomime and it was superb. The actors, the costumes and the scenery in everything was first class and our family enjoyed every [minute] of it and the best part was not having to drive 25 miles home.
It was good to see the Christmas market, not forgetting the ice rink.
I do hope that the city continues its recovery.
