A MAN was threatened with a knife in a car park in Amesbury.

It happened yesterday (Wednesday, January 16) in the car park of a distribution centre in Meridian Way at 2am.

A 25-year-old man was approached by another man who started shouting and swearing.

He then pulled a knife out and made threats.

It is believed the suspect may be known to the victim.

PC Thomas Newman said: “While this was a scary experience for the victim, we believe this was an isolated incident and we'd like to reassure the public that we are carrying out a thorough investigation.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we have released a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with the incident."

The man is described as white, about 6 feet 4 inches tall, and aged in his late 30s.

He was of slender build and had black curly hair and dark eyes.
