FAKE £50 notes have recently been used in Whiteparish and Salisbury.

On Friday, December 7, at around 7pm, three men entered the new Premier Inn in Salisbury (Petersfinger) and attempted to buy a drink with a Scottish £50 note, but after being challenged by staff they left the scene.

Around half an hour later three men entered the Kings Head in Whiteparish and successfully used a Scottish £50 note, which was later discovered as fake.

Two of the men in the group had sat at the bar to order their drinks and snacks.

Salisbury Police would like to speak to the three men pictured in connection with the incident, if anyone has any further information call 101 and quote crime reference number 54180116132.
