GUIDANCE on how to best help rough sleepers has been issued as temperatures look set to remain below zero until the end of the week.

Wiltshire Council has a legal duty to provide overnight accommodation to anyone who is sleeping on the streets when the weather is predicted to fall to zero degrees or lower for three consecutive nights.

Current forecasts from the Met Office anticipate that temperatures will drop as low as -3 degrees in the coming nights, not rising to above zero until Sunday.
