CCTV images have been released in the hunt for vandals who caused thousands of pounds worth of damage at a secondary school.

Furious staff at Ringwood School hope someone will recognise those pictured and give their details to the police.

The images show two men balanced on fencing to get to the roof of the school in Parsonage Barn Lane.

It is believed one of the men may have been injured during the incident but no details have been released.

Damage was caused to bollard lights and solar panels overnight on Monday January 14. The fabric of some of the school buildings was also damaged and the school will be forced to make a claim on its insurance for repairs.

“Our staff and students are really proud of our site and facilities and take great care to look after our learning environment” said a spokesman for the school.

“ Sadly our intruders felt it was acceptable to break into the school grounds and damage property. A number of passers-by may have witnessed these intruders on our site.”

A police investigation is under way and anyone with information is asked to call Hampshire Police on 101, quoting occurrence number 44190017099 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
