SALISBURY businesses have just over three weeks to vote on whether the city’s Business Improvement District (BID) continues.

With its initial five-year term over, the ballot is need to enable the BID to start a second term.

Ballot papers were issued to businesses eligible to vote on Thursday. The deadline is February 28.

Salisbury BID initiatives have included the city ranger service, which helps with safety, security, graffiti removal and cleanliness, and a host of activities that promote the city.

The results of the vote will be announced on March 1. A yes vote will see the BID start a new five-year term on April 1 while a no vote will see it disbanded on March 31 and all its work cease.
