AMATEUR photographers with a passion for wildlife are invited to submit entries for this year’s Julian Gardner Awards.

The competition is organised by Fordingbridge-based charity, the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) and is in memory of farmer Julian Gardner.

Entries should capture the UK countryside – be it game, wildlife, habitats or landscapes.

The winner of the adult category will be awarded with a sculpture of a hare and the victor of the junior category, for children aged 16 and under, will be presented with a sculpture of a leveret.

Judge James Swyer, of GWCT, said: “The images will be judged by a panel on composition, originality and technical ability.

“The top three photographs from each section will be printed in Gamewise and featured on GWCT’s website.”

“We look forward to receiving even more than last year.”

To take part email a maximum of two photographs to photocompetition@gwct.org.uk. Alternatively, complete the entry form online at gwct.org.uk/wildlife/julian-gardner-awards/enter/
