THE Navy Larks will be performing at a fundraising evening to support The Mayor’s Appeal.

Salisbury mayor Mike Osment has chosen to support the Rose Gale Trust and Childrens Chance who support children and young people in Salisbury for the appeal.

An evening of Sea Shanty singing by The Navy Larks with a fish and chip supper and a cash bar, is being held tomorrow (Friday, February 8), 7.15pm, at St Elizabeth Hall in Exeter Street.

The Navy Larks is a group of up to 20 men, united by their love of sea shanties and traditional music. The choir, run by Kate Edgar, rehearse every Tuesday evening in a local Salisbury pub and perform at many charity events around Salisbury.

Mayor of Salisbury, Mike Osment said “I am delighted that The Navy Larks are performing for us at our fundraising event.

“Having heard them sing, I can guarantee an entertaining evening of superb singing and great fun. Their enthusiasm is infectious.”

Tickets are £15 each, which includes fish and chips, and can be purchased from Salisbury Information Centre in Fish Row.
