ALDERHOLT Drama Club’s 70th annual pantomime for 2019 is Goldilocks and the Three Bears – but this time there are actually four.

Simple Simon and his sister, Goldilocks, live with Dame Trott in Calamity Cottage. Simon is more than a little distracted by his girlfriend, Marigold. Goldilocks is smitten at the arrival in the village of a young man called Edwin, who is actually a prince. The wicked Squire Dastardly and his henchman, Igor, steal Dame Trott’s apple tree because it holds a magical secret – a hidden crock of gold – and capture Baby Bear as a hostage.

Luckily, the Three Bears have a mystical uncle who lives at the North Pole – a polar bear of course. With his help they learn the secret of the apple tree and all set off to rescue Baby Bear and the tree.

The show at Alderholt village hall runs until Saturday, starting at 7.45pm. There is also a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.

Fifty per cent of the proceeds from tomorrow night’s show will be donated to Lymphoma Action.

Tickets are available from the village Co-op and on the door.
