HEALTH and fitness was the focus of a special visit by 1st Fordingbridge Beaver Scouts.

The youngsters joined staff at Fordingbridge Surgery on Wednesday, January 30, who were helping them achieve their health and fitness badge.

They learnt about the human body and what keeps them healthy.

Goody bags were given to the children containing water, raisins, a ‘stretchy rubber man’, and information on keeping healthy, which were provided by The Friends of Fordingbridge Surgery Fund. Each goody bag also had an orange and an apple donated by The Gourmet Grocer in Fordingbridge.

A surgery spokesman said: “We were thrilled to invite the Beaver Scouts to Fordingbridge Surgery. They were enthusiastic and fully engaged with the evening’s activities. We very much hope they enjoyed the evening and learned more about staying fit and healthy.”
