IT was cause for celebration at Clown About last week, as the party venue turned 21-years-old.
On Thursday (February 7), 100 youngsters celebrated the playground’s 21st birthday through a two-hour session in the soft play area, including cake and a chocolate fountain in the newest party room.
Children were invited to the festivities through a Facebook competition, and users were selected at random to come with their families.

Jennie Lucas, who opened Clown About in 1998, said the day was “wonderful”, adding: “We throw parties every day, so we wanted to throw a big one for the 21st.
“The kids loved it, it’s great that they could do something physical and have a bit of fun after school.”
And adults who were once regulars at Clown About when it first opened were attending the birthday celebrations as parents.
Jennie added: “We are a party centre so this is what we love to do, and we want to thank everyone for being part of the day.”
