MORE than £200 was raised for CLIC Sargent on World Cancer Day by a family in Warminster.
A collection was held for the children’s cancer charity in Morrisons in Warminster by Debbie Martin, mum of six-year-old Finn Martin, who has recently won his battle with leukaemia.
Mrs Martin’s mother-in-law, Sue, also helped out with the collection raising a total of £206.92.
Small collection tins were also placed on the checkouts and raised £53.19 of their grand total.
Mrs Martin said: “We were just delighted with the amount we raised, it was when we had all the really bad snowy weather.
“It was just the two of us there for an hour and a half so we were so pleased with what we raised in a short amount of time.
“Everyone was very generous and stopped to chat with us, it was a really nice atmosphere.”
Morrisons will be hosting an Easter raffle on Easter Saturday at the Warminster store from 10.30am in aid of CLIC Sargent.
