YOUNG carers in Ringwood now have an opportunity to get together and have fun at a new monthly youth club.
The club at Carvers Clubhouse is run by Community First New Forest with support from Ringwood Town Council.
Young carers support worker Sue Ward said: “We have wanted to start a youth club in Ringwood for a while and Carver’s Clubhouse is perfect for us. It’s such a great space and they even keep the cafe open for us so the children can get hot food and snacks if they want.
“And this month thanks to the generosity of the Rotary we were able to celebrate Young Carers Awareness Day with some wonderful gifts and games.”
One of the young carers said: “I like coming here for a break and to meet my new friends. And Chris makes great bacon sandwiches.”
The Young Carers Service currently works with more than 250 young carers and their families across the New Forest providing support, advice and activities.
