GUNNERS from 28/143 Battery of 19 Regiment on Exercise Winter Camp in Estonia joined with their Estonian counterparts being shown the Estonian Army's FH70 artillery pieces.
They saw the guns firing up close and spend time on exercise with this year's recruits into the Estonian Army.
They have shared their camp since they arrived in June and it was an experience to be there when they fired the guns with live ammunition for the first time.
It was also a huge opportunity for the gun group to learn more about the operation and capability of the FH70 and gain a broader understanding of their own trades.
FH70 (Field Howitzer for the 70s) was a joint Anglo German project and the UK bought 71 OF the 155mm guns entering service in the late 70s. It has since been withdrawn from service in the UK.
