A NEW Argos store in Ringwood is creating 11 new jobs in the town.

The new store, which will be located inside Sainsbury’s in Meeting House Lane, opened today (February 20).

Stuart Dabner, the manager of Sainsbury’s Ringwood store, said: “We are thrilled to welcome the Argos team and even more fantastic colleagues to our store in Ringwood.

“The opening is great news for our customers, who are always looking for easier, more convenient ways to shop.”

He added: “We look forward to offering them an exciting range of products at fantastic value.”

The new store has tablets that allow customers to purchase items, “quickly and conveniently”.

Argos says while 60 per cent of its total sales now start online, 80 per cent of customers choose to collect their goods in-store.

Customers will also be able to benefit from Argos’s Fast Track Delivery and Click and Collect services at the store, with 20,000 products available to be ordered for same day collection in store and home delivery.

There are more than 270 Argos stores in Sainsbury’s supermarkets.

Sainsbury’s acquired Home Retail Group, the owner of Argos and Habitat, on September 2, 2016.
