TWO SALISBURY-based companies were recognised by national awards on Wednesday night.

Berry Telecom and Mploy Staffing Solutions were both included in the Sunday Times Top 100 Small Companies to Work For, 2019.

The awards ceremony were held at Battersea Evolution in London.

The Sunday Times Top 100 List is published annually and recognises the UK’s best employers.

Participating organisations are judged on a variety of factors, including workplace engagement initiatives, staff wellbeing and perks, and company culture and values.

Mploy appeared at number 30 on the list.

Mark Nash, Mploy’s Finance Director says, “What an honour it is for Mploy to be recognised as one of the UK’s best employers.

"Dedicated and hard-working staff are the key to the success of any company.

"At Mploy, we’ve recognised this from the very beginning and will continue to put the wellbeing of our staff above everything else.”

Berry ranked 81st on the list, and Berry said they decided to take place in the scheme to not only have its workplace officially recognised as a workplace of choice, but to use the results to help further improve its offering to staff.

The engagement survey measures how staff feel about eight different factors.

Berry scored exceptionally well in the Leadership, My Company and My Team categories.

Berry’s Co-owner and Finance Director Jo-Anne Udy said: “To have Berry officially acknowledged by such a trusted and reputable authority as the Best Companies organisation is a very special accolade.”

Simon Langford, another co-owner added: “We’ve always felt that if we look after our staff, they will look after our customers, so for us this really does mean our customers are in safe hands.

"On behalf of Paul Hallam, Jo-Anne Udy, Andrew Legg and myself, the Berry Board of Directors, we’d like to thank our staff for their continued enthusiasm and belief in what we’re trying to build here at Berry. "We know we have the best workforce in the business.”
