A NEW vice lord-lieutenant has been appointed in Wiltshire.
Following the retirement of Sir Roderick Cordy-Simpson, on Thursday, February 28, William Wyldbore- Smith was announced the new vice lord lieutenant to lord-lieutenant of Wiltshire, Sarah Rose Troughton.
Mr Wyldbore- Smith is currently the chairman of the Brunel SEN Multi-Academy Trust, vice chairman of the Wiltshire Community Foundation and supports several charities and organisations including the Marlborough College Foundation and the Wiltshire Victoria History Trust.

He will now be following in the footsteps of Sir Roderick, who in his five years of service participated in more than 40 citizenship ceremonies.
The new vice lord-lieutenant said: “I am deeply honoured by this appointment and very much look forward to doing all I can to support the lord lieutenant in her work throughout all of the county of Wiltshire.”
