A DOG that was found tied to a tree near an animal rescue centre is now looking for a new home.

Bruce, who is a one-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux cross, was spotted by a member of the public who contacted the RSPCA after finding him near the charity's Ashley Heath Animal Centre back in January.

The animal centre says Bruce can suffer from separation anxiety and will need a secure garden as he has proved to be an "escape artist" in the past.

He is looking for a home with people who have had experience of larger breeds.

Bruce can get easily worried/ scared of new people or situations but "once he gets to know you he is very affectionate and playful".

He may be able to live with a suitably matched, neutered female but cannot live with cats.

Anyone interested in giving Bruce a home call Ashley Heath Animal Centre on 0300 123 0749.
