VOLUNTEERS will be coming together tonight to sleep outdoors for charity.
After being cancelled because of health and safety concerns during the snow, Alabare's The Big Sleep will be going ahead tonight (March 8), held in Salisbury Cathedral Cloisters.
The event challenges participants to brave the cold and sleep outside for the night, 8pm - 7am, to gain a brief experience of what it is like to sleep rough, while raising money for the charity.
Last year around 200 people took part and this year hopes to see similar numbers, as well as 20 dogs being invited to keep owners company.
Everyone who has signed up has pledged to raise a minimum of £100 to help support Alabare’s work in caring for the most vulnerable in the local community.
