A TAXI driver was assaulted and robbed in Wilton.
The victim was flagged down in St Andrews Close at the junction of Bulbridge Road by a woman at about 1am of Saturday, March 16.
The woman distracted the driver enabling a man to approach the car.
The man assaulted the victim and demanded he hand over cash before they both ran off towards Randall Croft Road.
The victim sustained a small injury to his neck in the incident.
The woman was described as white, mid to late 20s, petite and was wearing a brown/green cagoule.
The man was described as white, also aged in his mid to late 20s, and was about 6ft tall. He was wearing a padded jacket, jeans and white trainers.
Police searched the area and say further enquiries are currently ongoing.
