A NEW McDonald’s has opened in Salisbury creating 150 jobs.

The restaurant on Southampton Road will be owned and operated by franchisee Tony Bennett, who started his career with McDonald’s more than 30 years ago and now has 16 restaurants across Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Jersey.

He said: “I’m thrilled to be opening the new restaurant on Southampton Road. I look forward to meeting our local customers and I am pleased to be expanding in Wiltshire.

“I’m keen to continue making a positive impact on the community by organising litter picks and donating sports equipment to local teams.

“I’m proud to be able to offer customers more choice as to how they enjoy their McDonald’s experience with this new digital restaurant and the introduction of the My McDonald’s app. I look forward to hearing what they think.”

Salisbury and Wiltshire councillor Sven Hocking opened the new restaurant today

It will feature self-service kiosks and offer table service.

Other digital features in the restaurants include free to use tablets, interactive magic tables for children and mobile phone charging points.
