FIREFIGHTERS have been battling a fire in a large hay barn in Pitton.
Crews from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue were called to the incident last night at 9.51pm.
Fire crews from Salisbury, Wilton and Amesbury attended and due to the severity of the fire requested further assistance.
Firefighters from Hampshire were also sent to the scene including Fordingbridge.
There were about 50 firefighters tackling the fire.
Crews have remained at the incident throughout the night and continue to deal with it this morning.
