THE BISHOP of Salisbury has said that today's prayers for Muslims will be 'significant throughout the world' as he speaks to Muslims in the Diocese.
The Rt Revd Nicholas Holtam added: "That this [the terror attacks in New Zealand last week] happened in a place called Christchurch is an indication of the significance of this for all of us".
Writing to the Muslim Associations in Salisbury and Trowbridge, and speaking to directly to Muslims throughout the Diocese, he said: “My thoughts and prayers this Friday will be with those Muslims alongside us.
"I am certain that this is true for all Christians within the Diocese of Salisbury.
"We stand together against violence and terrorism and in support of living together peacefully.
"May God bless all who remember those who died that we may learn to live together in a way that makes for peace.”
