STUDIO Theatre emerged from the Woolstore Drama Festival last week the overall winner with two additional trophies to add to its haul.
The one-act play competition, held over two nights (March 15 and 16) at the Woolstore Country Theatre in Codford, pitted drama companies from Mere, Warminster and Trowbridge against the Salisbury amdram company.
Studio's entry, A Flock of Tigers by John Finnemore, was pronounced the winner with Studio's Lesley Bates picking up the adjudicator's shield for best direction and Rachel Fletcher scooping the Best Supporting Actor cup.
Adrienne Howell of Mere Drama Society was awarded Best Original Script for Katie's Party.
Studio Theatre will be hoping to repeat its success when it travels to Hanger Farm Arts Centre on March 29 for the Totton Festival of Drama.
