5 (GIBRALTAR 1779-83) Battery of 19 Regiment, RS are now deployed on Ex GIBRALTAR BARBARIAN. The six-week deployment will see the battery taking over duties from the Royal Gibraltar Regiment while conducting a varied and challenging training program.
Last week, the soldiers and officers of 5 Battery tackled the infamous ‘Rock Run’, a steep 1,400ft climb up the Rock of Gibraltar in the fastest time possible.
Joined by the commanding officer, regimental sergeant major, adjutant and the padre; the run proved to be a real physical challenge for all involved. Congratulations to all those who took part!
Members of 13 (Martinique 1809) Battery – 19 Regt RA are currently deployed on Ex CITADEL GUIBERT, in Northern France.
This is a multi-national exercise with Bulford based Headquarters 12 Armoured Infantry Brigade who are working alongside the French Army, a United States Army Brigade and Divisional HQs.
During a pause in the exercise, soldiers from 13 Battery spent the day at the Verdun Memorial.
