A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a car in Mere.
Two children also sustained minor injures during the incident, which happened on the B3092 Church Street yesterday afternoon (Friday, March 29).
It involved a grey VW Touran and a white KTM motorcycle
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "At approximately 16.25 hours on Friday, March 29 a road traffic collision occurred involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on the B3092 Church Street in Mere, Wiltshire at the bottom of the entrance slip to the A303 westbound.
“Two children in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and a motorcyclist, a male, aged 37, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Southampton Hospital."
The A303 at its junction with the B3092 westbound exit sliproad and eastbound entry slip road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call 101.
