A MAN who was sought by police after a child's bottom was "pinched" in a South Wiltshire supermarket has been identified.

Wiltshire Police had called for information after the young boy was touched while out shopping with his mother at Aldi in Amesbury on March 18.

A CCTV photo was then released showing a man officers wanted to speak to.

Now, a police spokesperson has thanked the public for their support.

They said: “Following our CCTV appeal about an incident where a young boy had his bottom pinched in Aldi in Amesbury, a man has made contact with police to identify himself in the images.

“He is due to be interviewed later this week.

“Nobody has been arrested at this stage and our enquiries continue.”
