A SECOND egg has been laid by a peregrine in Salisbury Cathedral.
At 12:40 this afternoon (April 10) the peregrine laid the egg in the spire of the cathedral, after only laying her first on Monday.
The eggs have been laid by an unringed female which marks an end to the reign of resident female Sally.
Sally has now moved to somewhere inbetween Harnham and Coombe Bissett.
Peregrines generally lay around three to four eggs in a clutch.
