POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car raced through Salisbury at more than double the speed limit.
Officers say it followed a "short" chase at 10.40pm on Friday when the driver failed to stop.
Wiltshire Police says the Black VW Golf raced through Devizes Road, in the direction of St Paul's Roundabout, at more than 60mph. Officers then lost sight of the vehicle.
It is understood that the driver also ran a red light.
A statement said: "There were a number of vehicles on Devizes Road and on St Pauls Roundabout when this occurred and we are appealing to anybody that may have witnessed this incident or have dash cam footage of the Black Volkswagen Golf."
