FREE music events will once again be filling pubs, clubs and other venues as part of Salisbury Live.

The event, which is organised by Colin Holton, takes place in May with free music every weekend until June.

Colin said: “Salisbury Live 2019 promises to be as exciting as always with free spectacular stand-alone events along with the iconic two weekends of free music in pubs, clubs and venues in and around the city.”

The event launches today (May 5) in the market square from 3pm until 10.30pm.The Salisbury City Council sponsored event will be headlined by Europe’s top Rolling Stones tribute, The Stones.

Other acts on the bill include Lady Winwood’s Maggot, Big Dog, Funk Soul Sista, Evolution Pop Choir, Home From The Unknown and Spire Samba.

This year’s Salisbury Live also features The Acoustic Alliance on the two May Bank holiday Mondays (May 6 and 27).

Running from 3pm to 8pm these events, hosted by the Winchester Gate, will give singer/songwriters the opportunity to showcase their musical talents.

Salisbury Live 2019 is also planning to host a youth music project for budding song writers and performers.

  • Amps

Salisbury Live events are being held at Salisbury Arts Centre and The Chapel on Friday, May 10. The Chapel will host a further event on Saturday, May 11 followed by Salisbury Rugby Club on Friday, May 17.

On Saturday, May 18, Salisbury Live Goes Rural at Alderbury Village Hall, and Live@ The Farm returns for another year on Sunday, May 26, 3pm-10pm.

And pubs, clubs and other city venues will be hosting a range of music acts on May 24, 25, 31 and June 1.
