A DAY of digging and archaeology was held in Salisbury Museum yesterday, with television experts on hand to unveil findings and speak to visitors.
The live dig on Bank Holiday Monday was hosted by Dr Phil Harding and Lorraine Mepham of Wessex Archaeology, both known for their work on television’s Time Team.
During the event Phil dug an archaeological test pit in the museum forecourt, with Lorraine ready to interpret what was found.
The findings will be revealed at this year’s Festival of Archaeology at a talk given by Lorraine and museum director Adrian Green, held on July 13 and 14.
