FREE tickets are now available for the three-day Armed Forces Day spectacular in Salisbury.

Armed Forces Day will be marked nationally on Saturday, June 29 and will be marked in Salisbury with a military parade through the city centre which is expected to be watched by thousands of people.

The line-up at Hudson's Field over the three days includes an air show, military displays and activities, BBC Wiltshire stage, children's and community activities, plus free live entertainment every day and a firework finale on Saturday evening.

Sunday focuses on veterans and young people, those who have served and those who may serve, with a commemoration and drumhead service, supported by the Royal British Legion, with the Bishop of Salisbury and padres leading the service.

There will also be the opportunity to help create a human poppy in the main arena.

Wiltshire Council leader Jane Scott said: "We’re counting down to Salisbury playing host to one of the most important dates in the military calendar.

"Tickets for this three-day spectacular are now online, and we are expecting there to be great interest, so my advice is to book your tickets early. I’d love to see as many of you as possible join us for what promises to be a wonderful event here in Wiltshire.

"We're a proud military county and we're looking forward to recognising and celebrating our Armed Forces and the vital role they play. We'll also be honouring our veterans and welcoming HRH The Princes Royal to Salisbury. This event will be a unique and special occasion so please do come along and join us."
