THE McDonald’s restaurant on Winchester Street in Salisbury Town Centre has officially opened a play area.

The free-to-use apparatus is fitted with brightly coloured slides, climbing frames and tunnels.

Named Playland, this is the eighth play area to be installed in one of franchisee Tony Bennett’s 16 restaurants.

Salisbury Journal:

As well as the new Playland, the restaurant has made other changes in-store, which the firm says has been "focused on improving and enhancing the customer experience".

This includes increasing the size of the dining area to provide additional seating for customers, and more of the restaurant’s existing wireless phone charging facilities have been installed.

The changes are expected to create five to 10 new jobs for the during the busier summer months.

Mr Bennett said: “I’m thrilled to be opening the new Playland in Salisbury.

"I look forward to seeing the customer reaction and hope it will be a beneficial addition for the local community, especially for families.”
