THE Journal Camera Club winners for May have now been announced.
This month camera club members were asked to step back in time and send in their best photos with an element of history. And whether that be architecture, artefacts or anything else with a historic twist, entrants were competing for a chance to win a £50 London Camera Exchange (LCE) voucher.
Judges said the picture of St Paul’s Church, Salisbury, by Aura Todd, had to come first for its clever and creative use of reflection and positioning.
Anthony Wood’s shot of a Saxon came in second place for bringing history to life in an unusual but exciting, realistic way.
Finally third place was awarded to Ray Molin-Wilkinson for his shot of the Wilton House grounds, commended for its power and sense of symmetry.
