SALISBURY parkrun celebrated its fourth birthday on Saturday, as event number 211 was held in Churchill Gardens.
The weekly free run, which takes place every Saturday at 9am at Churchill Gardens, was first held in Salisbury on June 6, 2015.
Preparation for the event began with litter picking in the gardens on Friday night, which 35 people attended and took around an hour to complete.
There were also awards handed out, with James Mills picking up Volunteer of the Year, and parkrunner of the Year going to Cameron Jacobs, pictured below, who has run 112 times at Salisbury, and has been with the event since the beginning, attending a number of the practice runs in 2015.
A race director said: “A big thank you must also go out to all the volunteers. 676 individuals have volunteered since we started in 2015, with over 7,000 tasks being completed in that time.”
